But for some reason, I was getting kind of tired of this wall.
It just didn’t sit well with me. I was a little disappointed that it didn’t turn out as good as Leanne’s wall.
Isn’t hers pretty, organized and symmetrical?
So I took it all down.
And I did this:
…put the kids artwork on the side wall leading to the laundry area and garage.
I like how it looks here plus it works better on this smaller wall since the art doesn’t get lost on this wall.
And the bonus is that I see the artwork more often and that makes me smile.
It makes this corner feel so much more cool and cozy all at the same time. I tell you, kids artwork is the best deal out there as it costs next to nothing (frame not included) AND it makes the kids feel special.
So this is how the wall looks now, a little bare, I know but I like it so much better since I felt it was a little cluttered before. And this mirror was tucked in that infamous landing of the stairway.
…and was this tan-ish/blah/pukey color that I didn’t really like. I just painted it with some Heirloom White spray paint and it pops so much more. I got this thing for free hosting a Southern Living At Home party years ago and now I get to actually enjoy it and show it off.
