I don't remember to take pictures of my food.
I know its not normal to take snaps of what you eat but when you are a blogger, you really need to stay on top of these kinds of things.
So I actually remembered to take a picture after this meal and here we are!
This is a throw together meal which = not having a recipe just thinking it up in the ole' noggin.
This is a great recipe for a night you just don't have time to cook (for me, that's when vball and soccer fall on the same night) or a hot summer night when you don't feel like running the oven.
Steak Salad
1- Tyson steak strips (there are other brands, so use what you like. Also, I use two packages for a family of four but if you like less meat, one package is fine)
2- bagged romaine lettuce (I use bagged since for me the cost is worth the time plus I always get more meals out of the bag than the head of lettuce)
3- 1 cucumber (insert your fave veggie here. I use what I have on hand whether that be carrots, peppers or cucumbers)
4- condiments of your choice ( I will leave this up to you. This is what I like to use: shredded low fat cheddar, low fat ranch and low carb croutons.)
This is a meal that my kids, surprisingly, eat up every last bit. More than pizza or mac and cheese. Yep. I am as puzzled as you are but I who cares, right? Its a lot better than those restaurant salads and it was easy for mom to make. A perfect meal, in my humble opinion. :)
