Four Ingredient Recipes- White Castle Cheeseburgers

Isn't the above so pretty?!?!
I will get to that in a minute but how was your Fathers Day?
Ours was great.
The weather was perfect, the hubs got to do whatever he wanted all day...which was to spend the day with us.....love that guy so much. :)
We got some great Chicago food, ate outside, went for a walk, got some ice cream, played outside, he got a few golf swings in.....well, in our driveway at least......had pizza for dinner and he ended the day watching golf on the TV with our oldest daughter.
Couldn't ask for more.
And I didn't have to cook yesterday so it was kinda like Mothers day too!

I have another recipe for ya today.
I feel like I haven't been to crafty or creative lately mainly because the kids are home and its summer.
Not sure I wanna spend all day with a can of paint or a glue gun when its 80 degrees and sunny cuz in these parts, those days are rare and winter will be here before we know it.
So please forgive the lack of my usual craptastic furniture redo's and the like.
They most likely will come.
Just not anytime soon.
:)

Let me give a shout out first to the computer geniuses over at Pic Monkey for helping me create the picture above that looks like an actual blogger-quality recipe photo.

And the kicker?
Totally free.
I am almost a little sorry to say this but Pic Monkey kinda kicks Picasa in the butt.
Sorry Picasa....I still love ya.
Just not as much as Pic Monkey.

Any hoo, I first found this recipe in my daughters school PTO cookbook.
I love me a PTO cookbook!
I have made THE best recipes since we got it in February.

I did tweak this one to fit our needs and also to make it a 4 Ingredient Recipe.
I made these last week and they are to. die. for.

My kids didn't eat them however.
I have strange eaters.
Ella doesn't like hamburgers of any kind and Anna doesn't like it when cheese is mixed with ground beef.
Sigh.

That's OK, more for the hubs and I.

Four Ingredient Faux White Castle Cheeseburgers

1- 1 pound 80/20 ground beef (I used extra lean and it was still delicious but when it comes to recipes like this? The more fat the better. )

2- 1 small jar cheez wiz ( I could only find the generic at my grocery and it was still good)

3- 1 package of small rolls (think Pepperidge Farm or Hawaiian rolls

4- dill pickle slices

extras: the recipe calls for onion soup mix but I didn't use that. Instead, I added garlic powder, onion flakes and salt to our taste.

Brown the beef and drain.
Preheat oven to 350.
Add the spices and cheez wiz and combine thoroughly.
Take off the heat and spread the beef mixture onto each bun.
Top with a pickle slice and the top half of bun.
Place on cookie sheet and top with foil.
Bake for 10-15 minutes or until buns are crusty.

Oh sweet heavens these are so very tasty.
You could serve these for appetizers, for Super Bowl Sunday, for a BBQ or for the main dish.
I made them for a Friday night dinner and served with baked beans and fries.
I could have eaten these alone.
:)

My husband will now seriously want to marry you. We don't have White Castle here and he gorges himself when we go to the states.

Thanks so much for adding to our Olympics party, hope you pop by to win the giveaway. C:

I've never had a White Castle burger but my husband mentions them from time to time. Your recipe looks really good.

I'm visiting from Richella's party. Hope you'll stop by.
