It will however help make you popular.
And have less bad hair days.
And make even a sucky day, less, well...sucky.
This recipe has been in my life for so many years, I don't ever remember a time without it.
My mom made this for us growing up and it is still a comfort food item I
It will change how you look at hot fudge sundaes forever.
Revolutionize it, if you will.
Double or triple this recipe though.
Because as is it only makes enough for two people really.
And you will be left licking the bowl.
I speak the truth.
This will make you forget all your problems.
Piles of bills?
Pishaw.
Step in a mud puddle?
Who cares!
Take a deep breath and enjoy every bite of this amazing hot fudge.
Mom's Hot Fudge Sauce
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- a dash of salt
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 2/3 C. evaporated milk
Combine the above and cook until thick.
This doesn't take long, around 5-10 minutes.
Then remove from heat and add the following:
- 2 Tbsp. butter (or margarine)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
I let this sit on the stove for about 20 minutes then I spoon over ice cream.
If you put it on the ice cream right away it will make the ice cream soupy.
Now, if you like soupy ice cream go ahead and add it right away.
Please make this.
It is amazing.
You will thank me.
Or curse me.
Whatever.
You will love it.
Happy Friday!

EVIL! And delicious. I've never even thought about making hot fudge, which shows you how culinarily challenged I am. But I will make this. And I think tonight is a good night for that. *Sprinting to grocery list to add ingredients.*
My cellulite shuddered just looking at that. yum.
I WANT some right now.....but I'm too lazy to make it. Had to pin this for tomorrow. Looks amazing.
Wow! That looks amazing! I will have to bookmark this for when I am a bit further along in my Winter Shed. Can't wait to try this in the hopefully not to distant future. Thanks for sharing! :)
And, of course, I read this while I'm hungry. It's like going to the grocery store hungry and walking out with two carts full of unnecessary groceries. Okay...you've pulled my leg. I'm going to buy the ingredients and ice cream now :)
