Umm Yeah, Lets Take The Scenic Route. Shall We? NaBloPoMo # 20

Today's prompt- Erich Fromm said, "Immature love says: 'I love you because I need you.' Mature love says 'I need you because I love you'." How do you define mature love?

I told ya so.
Stuff just got deep in here.
So I have decided to go another way.
Because I just can't answer that question without giving myself a headache.

I am stealing this idea from my instigator partner in crime in this whole NaBloPoMo fiasco, Jen.
I want to share my favorite blogs with you today.
The ones I keep going back to for more and more.
And my support system here in the blog world.


And since I am not good at writing full paragraphs about people (I cannot write a bio to save my existence), I will give you fun anecdotes about my blogpeeps.
AND these are in no particular order.

Let me start with the person who got me into this mess to begin with:

Jen over at Me, Myself and Jen




I just met Jen in January.
(Could I put any more J's in that sentence?)
And I already feel like I have known her my whole life.
She has been a huge blog support in the month I have known her and she is so uplifting.
Like a great bra.
Only better,
And she is a huge Housewives fan.
So, of course, I love her.
Plus she's got fantastic hair.


Read her blog because......she writes about real life. The kids, spilling juice all over the car, life...real life. She is funny, smart and she is YOU.



Sue over at Diapers or Wine

I am not gonna talk about how amazing of a mom she is (SHE IS) because there is more to her than just that.
She makes me laugh.
The ugly laugh.
You know the one.
And she just gets it.
Life, kids, Walmart on a weekend.
She is the Erma Bombeck of our generation.
THAT is what needs to be on the inside cover of your someday book, Sue!!

Read her blog because......she will make you laugh til you pee. And really, don't we all need something like that in our crappy lives here and there?



Bec at Little Lucy Lu

I have known Bec since I started blogging three years ago.
Hers was the first blog I truly fell in love with.
And over the years, we have become friends,
She's got my back and I got hers.
We email back and forth, share our heartbreaks and bitch about Jillian Michaels.
She is doin' the Shred too AND she just had a baby in December.....she is my hero.
I only wish she didn't live all the way across the country.

Read her blog because.....she is a blog superstar. I am sure you have seen her laundry ladder hanging from the ceiling. It went viral on Pinterest years ago and it STILL gets a gazillion pins. She has THE best decorating taste, she takes amazing pictures and you can tell how happy her life is through her blog. I love that so much.






Brandi at Windy City Wilsons

Brandi and I met at the Chicago Coca Cola blogger event in December.
And she has a story to tell.
You must read it.
She will make you cry but she will also make you laugh.
And really, why wouldn't you love a blogger in a snuggie?
Annnd she just finished the 30 day Shred so give her MAD props.

Read her blog because.....she is dealing with a loss so deep that YOU will feel it in YOUR bones too.


Marianne at We Band Of Mothers

 I met Marianne in Chicago in December too and I am so sad because I met her at the very end of the event.
I wish I had met her earlier.
But its all good.
We are wearing our Poo tee shirts to Blogher together.
And our fake id's.

Joules at Pocketful of Joules

I met Joules this fall while Twittering away.
She is so much fun and I know from my winter swap items alone, that I would TOTALLY be friends with her in real life.
AND I get to meet her this summer at Blogher.
So she can be totally jelly of mine and Marianne's Poo shirts.
Unless she wants in on that action...

Melisa at Suburban Scrawl.

I first met Melisa at Union Station in December on the way to our blogging event.
Best way to describe her?
I feel like she is a sister.
She looks out for me, makes sure to include me and sincerely wants me to succeed at blogging.
She has excellent taste in music, food and is that person who knows EVERYONE.



Read her blog because.....she is a Chicago-related blogger BUT she blogs about life, kids etc so completely relatable if you live in Des Moines. And its educational. I had no idea Naperville was 30 miles west of Chicago until I read her header. The things ya learn......






Jeanette over at Craftwhack.

That's right....suckahs!!!
Not just a craft blog, its a way of life blog.
I met Jeanette in December....do we see a theme?
We connected instantly at the Coca Cola event and were buddies the entire time.
She is amazing, she is my exact age and I totally see us getting into big, BIG trouble together at Blogher.



Read her blog because.....she is so creative and witty. When she writes tips about everything from beauty to dinner there is a level of snark in there that is totally not lost on the reader. She holds my attention for an entire post. That says A LOT because I totally have blog ADD.





Shannon over at Deepest Worth.

I met Shannon in January and loved her immediately.
She is an Ohio gal transplanted in Chicago so instantly we had a connection.
She is also one of those comforting and real peeps that when you meet them you feel like you have known them for years.

Read her blog because.....she is a writer. What I aspire to be. She is totally relatable and funny and just pretty great.
