Netflix Stream Team. Just Like The Dream Team Only Better #StreamTeam

I had never tried Netflix before last Saturday night.
Never.
I heard all the cool people talking about shows like Orange is the New Black and House of Cards.
And we all know how I am so not on the band wagon when it comes to shows that are hip NOW.
Go here and scroll down to #4.

In 2014, one of my bucket list things was to watch shows while they are popular.
When I got the opportunity to work with Netflix, it was a cue the hallelujah chorus moment.

Since Saturday night when we installed our Roku and Netflix….which by the way, THE EASIEST THING EVER.
And this is coming from the husband and wife duo who struggle at the RedBox kiosk.
Weekly.
That is sayin’ a lot.
Since then, we have not turned on our regular cable once.
Not once.
Okay maybe once.
But for sure not twice.

Our girls LOVE this.
LOVE.
There are so many shows that they already like on there which is great but the fact that some of them are from the first season or old shows they missed, is huge.

I really love that each family member can have their own profile to select what they want to watch.
For my oldest child, it is the teen movies and shows/ reality shows like Mean Girls or Toddlers and Tiaras.
Don’t judge.
She gets her taste from me.
For my younger daughter, it is The Lorax, Word Girl or Tinkerbell.
By the way, there were four Tinkerbell movies available which is also HUGE.

The hubs and I love that we are finally going to get to watch The West Wing.
I know.
My TV experience is gonna be huge this year.
But we also love that there are old movies on there too like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Grease and Dirty Dancing.
OK Grease and Dirty Dancing are more for me.
Happy Gilmore is for him.

Since we all know it is Science Fair season, here are a list of some fun movies that Netflix offers that go with that theme:

1- How Stuff Works

2- How Do They Do It?

3- Is It Possible?

4- Build It Bigger

5- How The Universe Works

6- Extreme Engineering

7- MythBusters

The above have my dad, brother and nephew written ALL over it.
I will be back in April with more suggestions but in the meantime, head over to Netflix to check out how you can hold your own Science fair in the comfort of your family room.
Without blowing up the house.

I am a new member of the Netflix Stream Team! Meaning, for the
next year, once a month I will be writing posts about how my family is
using our Netflix. They provided me with a Roku and a voucher for my
Netflix account.

I need to binge re-watch the West Wing. I loved Orange is the New Black (hint: don't watch it with your girls in the vicinity) and I want to start House of Cards.
My kids NEVER watch regular TV anymore. I still do, even at the times when the show is actually airing. I guess I'm old school like that.

Kari! Guess what?!?! We just got a Roku about a week ago, and we just started watching The West Wing through Amazon Prime! My husband and I got a kick out of the fact that we're watching TV from 1999 while I'm trying to figure out "the Facebook"… Looks like I'm *most* comfortable with things that are at least 10 years old. Oh, Lord, 15 years old. We dumped our cable and don't miss it.
