My Dad is one of those people who doesn’t know an enemy.
Everyone who meets him, loves him.
I wrote about him earlier this year when he was preparing to retire and it was one of my favorite posts to write.
I swear I could talk about my parents all day long but then it would be called A Sara and Garner Life.
Someone start that blog because I don’t have enough hours in my day.
What one thing annoys you the least about Oprah?
Her apparent generosity.
I giggled at the word “apparent”.
Who is your favorite family member? Why?
My spouse. She’s loved me, warts and all. for nearly 50 years.
You two are so damn adorable.
And there aren’t that many warts.
That I know of.
Of course I am not married to you.
What is your favorite blog and why? (not mine)
Together We Served (for military veterans). If this is unacceptable, then, my daughter’s blog, which shall remain nameless.
My dad served in the United Stated Navy for four years.
Thank you so much for your service, Dad.
Remain nameless…..see where I get my humor?
What holiday food item would you take a bath in if no one was looking?
Cookies and hot chocolate with marshmallows (but not too hot).
YES TO ALL OF THE ABOVE.
What one present do you hope to receive this year?
Continued good health for my family.
If you only had the money to make one holiday dish this season, which one?
My meatball and spaghetti dinner. Everyone knows how to prepare this dish but my meatball recipe is my secret.
OMG I am going to miss this so much this year.
I will try to re-create it but it is never as good as when Dad makes it.
To paraphrase a Mystic Pizza quote, “WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK GARNER PUTS IN THOSE MEATBALLS ANYWAY??”
What one celebrity is your absolute favorite?
Wow this is a hard one to answer as I have several favorites but Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock are my favorites in that order.
My Dad is cooler than your Dad.
If you could have your own television show, what would YOU give your guests as your big giveaway?
A new 3 bedrooom ranch home with finished basement in whatever location they choose.
I love how specific this is.
And I want my Dad to have his own show now.
What one thing (besides any religious belief) is your favorite part of the holiday season?
Our Christmas Eve family dinner.
1000 times yes to this.
If you could say one word to describe my blog, what would it be?
I love that my blog entertains my Dad.
I enjoyed reading my Dad’s answers so much.
Retirement looks good on you, Dad!
Maybe he and I should start a meatball/blogging business.
